Land Purchase

On Monday, October 14, 2002, Forgotten Animal Shelter, Inc. signed a Land Purchase Agreement for the purchase of twelve (12) acres of land in Litchfield-the future site of Forgotten Animal Shelter. A down payment of $15,000 was made. We took possession on January 1, 2003. Our first monthly payment of $1001 was made on February 1, 2003 and will continue for twelve (12) years.

Procuring this land was a major step towards our ultimate goal---to build a no-kill shelter. Now, more than ever, we need your help so we can reach our goal and help the animals that are homeless.

We are relying on help from the public through donations as well as from our fundraising efforts to continue making our payments and starting the beginning phases of building. There are three pages on our site dedicated to publicly recognizing people who donated money for our land purchase. We would like to thank everyone that has supported our organization and made this purchase possible.

How can you help?
1. Make a personal, tax deductible donation (consult your tax advisor);
2. Encourage your family, friends and co-workers to make a donation;
3. If you own a business, make a corporate donation;
4. Talk to your employer and ask them to make a corporate donation;
5. Talk to local business and ask them to make a corporate donation.
