Animals' Disaster Team

"The Animals' Disaster Team in Ohio, (ADT), a non-profit organization, is an all-volunteer program founded in 1992.  Under the direction of local emergency rescue authorities and the American Red Cross, ADT will respond to provide temporary emergency assistance including housing, food, and basic first aid for all animals in the community.  In addition, ADT has created an emergency action plan that they are urging cities within the state to adopt."

LAFAYETTE GREENHOUSE

www.lafayettegreenhouse.com

Mission statement:

Our plants are grown without the use of growth retardants and fungicides. We use organic pest controls whenever possible. Our perennials are overwintered in our 1.5-acre selling area. Since we do not use herbicides, you may encounter some weeds in our sales area, but you will probably also see some of the 35 different types of birds that make our natural pest control practices so successful. We feel that it is much more important that a plant be acclimated to our rigorous Ohio weather, than be groomed to artificial perfection.

HOURS: Open for plant sales seven days/week from May 1- June 20, from 9 AM-7PM Monday - Saturday, and from 11 AM-3 PM on Sundays. June 21- July 15 open daily 1-5 PM.

LOCATION: Lafayette Greenhouse is located at 6323 Lafayette Rd. (US Rt. 42), 5 miles SW of Medina town square, and 6 miles NE of the US 224/US 42 interchange in Lodi, making our operation easily accessed via Interstates I-71, I-77, I-271, and the Ohio Turnpike.

Dogs LOVE to do agility, and so do their owners. It's a wonderful way to spend quality time with your best friend, and it's also great exercise!"

 Dr. John B. Gifford, DVM

"The Neighspaper.com is a periodical providing you with tidbits of helpful information concerning the welfare of your horse.

Be sure to check back often as things will be updated frequently.

We hope you enjoy the information we provide here.  There is a great deal of information to remember when looking out for the welfare of your horse."

www.ohiocitizen.org

This is a site for individuals to get involved with campaigning for their causes and issues. FAS, and other nonprofits, cannot campaign for politics, etc. due to risk of losing our nonprofit status. However, we know that FAS members, members and other people can be personally involved with helping get tougher laws passed and with other matters.

If your issue you want to get involved with is not on the site, e-mail OCA and ask if you can get help starting an area organization regarding your cause. You may find that there are others in your area who would want to be a part of that group to help.
